Beautification Committee: has constructed eight benches for use downtown, are working on construction of a mini-park downtown, and are considering a sidewalk replacement project along with numerous clean-up and tree planting projects. History Committee: Sue Hartly (St. John's Lutheran Pastor's wife) is leading the committee to create an Underwood Family History Book. Please send us your family history for this important venture. This valuable publication will be important for our children and grandchildren many years from now. Our Committee has been researching the history of Underwood and have plans to publish a book and involve the High School students in the research. A newspaper column "Centennial Corner" will publish family history, pictures, or anything pertaining to Underwood. Promotion Committee: has selected the above logo for the celebration and will be ordering numerous souvenirs.
